Smokey Point Distributing is a Quick Draw Tarpaulin Systems dealer. Demonte Fabricating Ltd. has been manufacturing these patented retractable tarp systems since 1996. Smokey Point Distributing offers these systems as a kit that you install yourself, or have installed for you by our professional installers.
We would like to point out some specific design features which place Quick Draw Tarpaulin Systems ahead of other rolling tarp systems in the industry. Some of these features are:
Total Ground Control:
One person can open and close the system from the ground virtually eliminating operator injury concerns.
Fast & Easy Tarping and Untarping:
System can be opened and closed within minutes.
Light Weight:
A typical system adds about 2050 lbs (c/w Steel Headboard) or as little as 1700 lbs (c/w Optional Aluminum Headboard) to the total weight of the trailer.
System Collapses to 7 feet:
When tarp system is fully opened, it occupies only 7 feet of bed space (on a 48” trailer)
High Strength Headboard Design:
All steel and aluminum headboards include 4 uprights constructed of 4” structural channel.
Modular Component Design:
Bolted connections in the framework enhance serviceability and all parts are generic and in stock.
4” Top Rolling Wheel:
The largest wheel in the industry, thus making the system easier to roll. Wheels are confidently backed by a 3 year warranty, bearing included.
4” Aluminum Track:
This track includes a tough insert for absorbing abrasion from wheels. This material has proven to last for years and only costs about $0.60 per foot (U.S. Funds) as a replacement component. The track includes a heavy duty aluminum bumper bar, however, an additional steel bumper can be provided for trailers which must endure extreme side loading conditions.
Sectional Tarps:
This standard feature included with every Quick Draw system lowers the cost of maintenance and reduces downtime. Quick Draw was the first tarp system to use sectional tarps. Tarps are held together tight at the seams without aluminum bow being exposed giving the illusion of a one piece tarp.
"Dual Attach" Tarp Design:
Dual attach one-piece tarps (patent pending) combine the advantages of sectional tarps and traditional one-piece tarps. It is a standard feature included with every Quick Draw system. This tarp design features the same performance, appearance, low maintenance costs and reduction in downtime that Quick Draw is known for.
Quality Tarp Material:
All tarp sections are manufactured by DeMonte Fabricating Ltd. using North American manufactured 22 oz. Volant-Plus Vinyl Tarpaulin material (Cold Crack rated -67°F)
Self Sealing - No bungee Cords:
As the tarp system is tightened, our unique design will seal automatically without the use of bungee cords creating a true weather proof barrier.
Cast Corners:
Quick Draw uses cast corner connections on each bow, which unlike fabricated corners will not tear or fray the tarp. A welder is not required to fix or replace cast corners should they become damaged by a forklift.
Unique Rear Brace Design & Tarp Adjusters:
Quick Draw uses a rear brace design that allows the system to be adjusted or tightened as needed. Tarps can further be adjusted as needed with the tarp adjusters located on the rear bow. This feature is extremely important because tarps experience a much longer life if they are stretched tightly.
